Cohort Training 2025!
Our cohort training is back for 2025! This year, it will run from September to November for nine weekly sessions. Our time together has the following twin focus:
1) We aim to support all participants in forming and maintaining a solid Beloved Community Circle (BCC).
Develop a solid understanding of the BCC “DNA”: our purpose, structure, foundational views, and the three commitments of social action, contemplative practice, and community care.
Learn how to reach out and connect with people, and to offer enjoyable, productive Circle gatherings
Learn skills to incorporate mindfulness or contemplative practice into gatherings, and how to build deep, caring relationships among all members.
2) We aim to support participants to deepen their awareness of social justice issues and to cultivate skill in action.
Learning about nonviolent resistance and its application
Learn about how intersectionality and identity shape social justice engagement
Exploring links among climate change, preserving democracy, and mindfulness
Practicing ways of discerning action directions and begin action planning
